Brighid, Brigit, Bride Great Goddess,
of many names, I dedicate myself to You.
All that I do is in your honor and for love of you.
Teach me, let me feel the warmth of your love
and your gentle touch. Let me hear the wisdom
of Your words.

Flame keeping can mean many and various things, not the least of which is the honor we give to the Gods by keeping our tending commitment. But perhaps it's most important function is that it can activate our ancestral memory.
