Lesson 1 - Getting Started
Welcome dear sister, I am so excited to be one this journey with you. In this first lesson we will be focusing on daily practice, grounding and centering and your dedication to this path with the Sisterhood of the Sacred Flame.
Part A
Developing A Daily Practice - more than anything else on this path will bring you closer to Goddess than a daily practice. It makes no difference when you do it each day as long as you commit to it. Some will find morning to be their best time, when the take a few minutes to have their morning coffee or tea, others will find before bed to be the perfect time and yet others will vary their daily practice. Remember this is your path Sister and there is no right or wrong way, you are your own best teacher, listen to your heart and intuition. I can guide you, I can tell you what my daily practice is but only you can decide what feels right for you.
I find my daily practice to set the tone for my entire day and for me it has been important to take time both in the morning and before bed. My practice consists of a few prayers that I have found to powerful, sharing my Gratitude with Goddess and some type of meditation. Remember meditation is a huge part of our spirituality, it takes time to master, and you will wonder if your doing it right or not, my advice right from the start, don’t question this, as long as you are committing to meditation, then you are doing it right. Throughout this journey I will introduce you to many types of meditation, I personally love to switch my meditations up, again you will find what is right for you. The link below is a page for your working book of shadows, it’s both a morning and evening prayer to get you started.
your assignment for this lesson, besides starting to take a few minutes each day to start forming the habit of a daily practice, write a paragraph or two of things you think you may someday like to add to your daily practice.
