Who Is Brighid?

O Brighid, spread above my head, your mantle bright to guard me...........
Picture
She is a Goddess. She is a Saint. She is creator and healer, wordsmith and warrior. She is patron of mothers and of protectors, of artists and healers, of all who bring beauty, justice, and care into the world. Through Her, the flame of inspiration burns, and the waters of healing flow. She spreads light and love, courage and compassion.

She is Brighid. However you come to know Her—saint, goddess, or radiant presence—She offers both inspiration and protection. She meets all who seek Her, and walks beside all who desire Her guidance.

Below you will find some of the many aspects of Brighid, gathered into four broad categories. These are only beginnings, for Brighid is vast, and no description can ever fully contain Her. Yet they may serve as a doorway, a way to begin deepening your relationship with this most luminous of allies.
