Who Is Brighid?
O Brigid spread above my head,
Your mantle bright to guard me...

She is a goddess. She is a saint. She is a creator, a healer, a wordsmith, a warrior. She is the patron of mother and of warriors; she inspires the healing arts and the creative endeavors. She spreads light and love, healing and care. She is Brighid. Whatever your view of her, she is there as both inspiration and protection. She is able to connect with and to befriend all those who seek her aid or desire her counsel. Below are some of the characteristics of Brighid, broken down into four major categories. This is not exhaustive; Brighid is so much to so many, no analyzation of this kind can ever be sufficient. It is, however, a wonderful starting point to begin a relationship with this most amazing of Spiritual allies. |
